[MonoDevelop] Ubuntu 8.1 problem with 2.0 alpha 1

For InformatiOn
I have just upgraded to ubuntu 8.1 from 8.04. Ran monodevelop and things
seemed ok but it placed a splash screen on my desktop  which doesn't
disappear.
