sqlite is used for yum on CentOS 4.3 hence I can not afford to
forcefully install older version

Nope, this is NOT the option for me... I HAVE to use RHEL (CentOS 4.3).
We (company where I work) are very conservative. It is a way too expensive to
change the working platform (aka OS) too often.
