[Mono-devel-list] Web service client code does not work with WebProxy

It may be related with the kind of authentication the proxy requires.
Proprietary Microsoft protocols aren't supported, so if your is using
MS ISA server it will have to be configured for standards-compliant
(non AD-integrated) authentication protocols.
