[Mono-devel-list] Any known issues with mono compilation on debian/amd64?

Hello all,

  I'm having trouble trying to compile mono from the daily tarballs (tried
several 1.1.4 and 1.1.3 versions) on an Opteron 140 machine running
debian/sid and kernel 2.6.11ac1. The machine has no mono installed (and I
can't use the binary x86 installer since the machine has no 32bit support
enabled in the kernel). The error I'm getting is:

MONO_PATH="../../class/lib/basic:$MONO_PATH"
/home/grendel/tmp/t/m/mono-1.1.4.20050308/runtime/mono-wrapper
../../class/lib/basic/mcs.exe /nowarn:649 /nowarn:169 -d:INSIDE_CORLIB
-d:NET_1_1 -d:ONLY_1_1 -debug /noconfig /unsafe /nostdlib /target:library /out:mscorlib.dll  @corlib.dll.sources
make[8]: *** [../../class/lib/net_1_1_bootstrap/mscorlib.dll] Segmentation fault (core dumped)

The core isn't actually dumped, despite setting the correct ulimit, so I
cannot provide the stack backtrace. Has anyone encountered such an error on
a similar machine? Are there any precompiled binaries available for x86_64
anywhere?

TIA,

marek
