g++ is checked at configure time, autotools has a bug.  This is not a mono bug.
 If you want to provide a patch to work around the autotools bug, please send
it in an attachment to mono-devel-list.

The other issue you report is potentially a seperate bug, please file and issue
for it independent of this issue which is still not a mono bug.
