[MonoTouch] CSProj file size - why now huge ?

As an update... I've just gone into TimeMachine and got my .csproj file from
a few days ago ... 712KB, and solution now all loads quickly again.   My
slightly modified code I've been working on the last few days needs two
additional small icon images, 1.1KB and 1.5KB... so I add these files to my
project under my 'Images' folder.   Check the .csproj file size and its
1.4MB!!

Now after a few more simple actions my proj file will go to 6MB or 8MB or
more... as though something is getting stuffed into it - but what ?   all my
images maybe - if so why?
