[mono-android] Deploying to 2.3.3 x86 emulator = "Installation failed due to container error"

Has anyone successfully managed to deploy to the x86 Emulator for the 2.3.3
(API Level 10)?

I have followed the instructions here
http://docs.xamarin.com/android/getting_started/installation/Configuring_the_x86_Emulator
and I am able to deploy to the 4.0.3 version fine. 

When I deploy to the 2.3.3 version I get

I have tried increasing the SD card size, Wiping user data and recreating
the AVD.
