[mono-android] Slow debugger issue: is the debugger using caching of some sort?

Yep, debugger support in VS.NET is clearly a weak area right now.  I don't think you are experiencing anything that isn't known.  I've talked to jhill on this.  They understand it.  they know that they will have to work on this.  I can't speak regarding their schedule on this.  Given that they seem to ship fairly regularly for monotouch and the previews of mondroid, I'm not too worried about this.  Your problems sound just like the problems I have seen.
