$399/100 = 4$/app just to cover the expenses of MonoDroid.
25 $ for Google + adaptive %ual share
Then, the app's developer still didn't yet made a single cent in profit.

I think this is way overpriced for a hobby programmer,
which this license seems to be intedend for.
Nobody is going to buy an application that will be this expensive,
especially not if it is only a simple tool.

@Nick Riggs: Your calculation is incorrect:
Windows License: $ 265
Visual Studio License: $ 714
MonoDroid License: $399
-------------------------------------------
Total:  USD 1'378

This in sharp contrast to:
Linux (Debian/Ubuntu) License: $ 0
Eclipse License: $ 0
IntelliJ License: $ 249 (not required if you go with Eclipse)
Android SDK: $ 0
--------------------------------
Total: $249

*Plus the real difference here is that IntelliJ doesn't limit to 100 apps.*
(
    Well i guess this would be hard to check anyway.
    Which brings up another question: Would you trust in a fellow
developer's honesty ?
)

And as to the original question:
(AmountOfTimeToLearnJavaAndEclipse * YourHourlyRate) = ?

Answer:
AmountOfTimeToLearnJava = 0
AmountOfTimeToLearnEclipse = near +infinite
AmountOfTimeToLearnIntelliJ_IDEA =  0

==> AmountOfTimeToLearnJavaAndIntelliJ = 0

AmountOfTimeToDecompile_cSharp_To_Jsharp = 2 mins.
AmountOfTimeToPort_J_Sharp_To_Java = 15+2 mins. (depending on
application size)
= 17 min.
* hourly rate of 100$/h
= 17/60*100  = 1700/60 = 170/6 = 180/6 -10/6 = 30 -10/6 = 30 - 1 -4/6 =
29 - 2/3 = 28 + 1/3
-------------------
==> $ 28.35
