You would need to make code changes for this, and presumably figure out
some kind of replacement way to show/access that information.

We have an option to maximize the source editor that autohides all the pads
- try double-clicking on an editor tab. It used to hide the toolbar too but
that functionality was lost when the toolbar was redesigned. IMO it would
be reasonable to add it back.
