[MonoDevelop] Importing old syntax highlight colour schemes?

Is it possible to import the old syntax highlight colour schemes into 
MonoDevelop 4.x? I've finally compiled 4.x from Git Master and I can 
find the import, but the two formats appear to be "Xamarin JSON" and 
"Visual Studio". I can understand that the change from 3.x to 4.x would 
mean that the JSON importer won't recognise the old MD format, but the 
.xml file doesn't show up under "Visual Studio" either.

According to one of Mike's blog posts [1] then it looks like the import 
should be working, but is there some difference with VS.net themes that 
means the new MD has lost compatibility with its predecessors?
