That seems strange, #x10 is the control code DLE. It sounds like a
regression in our keyboard mapping code in GTK+ in the latest Mono
2.10.9 installer.

What character were you trying to type? What keyboard layout are you
using? Could you please file this information in a bug report at
http://bugzilla.xamarin.com?
