[MonoDevelop] Changing the auto-formatting behavior

Hi,

A few days ago I started using MonoDevelop again, but I'm already getting a
bit infuriated by the way the IDE automatically formats my code in pretty
drastic ways. I basically have to change the format of my code over and over
again, and it's starting to annoy me quite a bit.

So far I've been unable to find the settings that control the autoformatting
rules in the IDE. I would like it if I were able to make it behave somewhat
along the lines of Visual Studio. VS usually keeps your code pretty clean
but is generally pretty not intrusive.

Can anyone advise me on how I can either change the rules or simply turn off
the autoformatting altogether? Right now I'm afraid I'm not touching
MonoDevelop again until I'm able to sort this out.
