[MonoDevelop] Can't install mono framework 2.10 on mac 10.6

Hello,
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I am having a hard time installing mono 2.10 on mac snow leopard (10.6). The
installation freezes with a message "preparing mono framework MDK" . Has
anyone had this problem?
I followed the instruction given at the link below but no luck.
