[MonoDevelop] F# build order isn't working

I'm working on an F# project. These require a specific build order.

In project options | build | general | general I change the build order to
the proper sequence. However after clicking ok and saving the project the
build order remains the same.

I've even tried manually editing the fsproj file and adjusting the
buildorder section but it didn't help either.

Does anyone know how I can get the build order right?

I'm using Monodevelop 2.4.2 on OS X
