this, in fact, has been a major problem so far: lack of introductory 
literature for Gtk# / Mono / MD. I have myself thought about writing such a 
book, but I have to find a little time for research and writing. This, of 
course, will force me to ask the people behind MD many, many silly 
questions...but please be patient to me. ;-)
