[MonoDevelop] Load operation failed. The file <...> has an unknown format version (version '11.00')'.

MD can load VS 2010 solutions. What version of MD are you using?

Anyway, MD does not support VS C++ projects of any version, so even though
you may be able to open the solution, C++ projects *in* it will not load.
