[MonoDevelop] Empty toolbox after fresh install

Hello !
I'm on Ubuntu 10.04. I did fresh install of this operating system for sole
purpose of learning Mono.
I'm an experienced .NET programmer, but not so geeky about Linux. I can use
it, solve problems by doing some google search but have little idea about
internal things.
I installed Mono develop from Synaptic Package manager. What I exactly did
is I typed 'Mono' in search box and then selected everything that I thought
relevant. There was also one meta package named 'mono-complete' I had
selected.
I also have GTK# 2.12 installed.
Well, everything works fine except Toolbox. I created new GTK# solution with
C#. There was one Window object. When I select that Window and switch to
Designer mode, toolbox is empty. There are no widgets.
If I go to project menu | [project name] options | GTK# Settings, then
combobox for Target GTK# version is blank. I can select v2.12 from it and
even if I click Ok, it will be shown blank next time I see it.
Also, for window.cs if I switch to Source mode, I do not see snippets. But
if I select main.cs then snippets are displayed in toolbox.
I did not change any option in IDE.
Thank you
