Now here's one reason: Habit
The thing is: I write c# (.Net) about 10 hours a day using winForms and wpf
for GUIs.
On the (rather rare...) occasions on which I am programming "for my sake" I
am stuck with trying to match the wpf-ideas-in-my-head with gtk..
I am not complaining (not loud anyways) but I can understand someone's wish
for having a familiar way of doing his UI-code...
