Well, similar arguments have been used in the past to introduce Emacs
behaviors and features in MD.

In any case, I did not argument that the error pad is not bad, but that
it is not useless. This behavior has been in VS (and other IDEs) for
decades, so it can't be so fundamentally broken.

However, I agree it is worth trying the new behavior.
