[MonoDevelop] Error when run an executable

Well, purging your packages will remove the Ubuntu package versions of
Mono (and it's associated libraries).  However, you say you've built
Mono from source.  Does that mean you've done this sequence of events
(or something similar):

  ./configure
  make
  sudo make install
