[MonoDevelop] Installing and Running Mono Develop on Ubuntu Linux (8.0.4 Hardy)

Hello,
I have installe mono and the same is working fine after hosting simple .NET
applications.

I installed mono develop but when I click on the link it is not starting.
When I start from command prompt recursively it is giving error like
database is locked etc. what is the correct way of installing mono IDE for
development on ubuntu linux. I have installed both from apt-get install and
build from source (which is giveing error). Please help me to bring this up
or any configuration I have to make.
