[MonoDevelop] how to run vb.net code in monodevelop2.0

I had the same problem... I get an error message that says: 

Build failed. ApplicationName='vbnc', CommandLine='"@/tmp/tmp17520ab8.tmp"',
CurrentDirectory='/home/drummerboy0511/Projects/firstlinuxvbapp/firstlinuxvbapp'

What is the problem? I know I have the package "mono-basic" installed...
