[MonoDevelop] Monodevelop on Mac

Excuse the noob questions.....

I'm just starting looking at Mono. I downloaded the framework and Monodevelop for the Mac. There seems to be things missing compared to what I see on Creating a Simple user interface with MonoDevelp, I don't see the 2.0 project that is demo'd there, and the http://monodevelop.com/Download/What's_new_in_MonoDevelop_2.2  page. Is creating GUI layouts available on the Mac with MonoDevelop ?  If so , how ?
