[MonoDevelop] Mono 2.6 breaks Chiron (Silverlight dev tool) on Mac OS X

Nope - I ran the Mac OS X uninstall script in an attempt to get  the Mac OS
X package to reinstall.

In the end I discovered that 2.4.3 also has the same problem and
reinstalling 2.4.2.3 *does* fix it. So the urgency is over - my dev
environment is unscrewed but 2.4.3 and more recent are broken.

Trying to come up with a minimal repro (which will still involve Chiron but
at least demonstrate the problem) and find out what compression API Chiron
uses.
