[MonoDevelop] Strange issue with fonts

Hi,
I installed the new monodevelop version 1.9 and I noticed something weird in
the fonts while editing the text. First I cannot place the cursor precisely
with a mouse click, it will always place the cursor one or two characters on
the left of what I clicked depending on the font that it's chosen. Second
the space between the letters will change when we select the text.
This is happening for every font I choose, being a mono spaced font or not.

Do you have any idea of what's going on and how can I solve this?
