[MonoDevelop] MD failed to start, ETA on MonoDevelop 2.0?

Compiling MD using a prefix other that /usr should work fine. I'm doing
that all the time. If you built mono yourself make sure to check this
url to avoid conflicts with the system installed mono:

Nope, the installer has been deprecated for being a source of many setup
problems.
