[MonoDevelop] autocomplete

Hello MonoDevelopers,

Is there a way to customize what the autocomplete stuff produces?  It always
suggests fully qualified classes and I never want them.  A checkbox in 
	Edit->Preferences->Coding->Code Generation 
is there, but it is not enabled.  How do I enable/toggle it?
