[MonoDevelop] GtkSourceView 2

GtkSourceView 2 is still under development, but has just seen a public release:

I particularly want the multi-language context-aware syntax
highlighting for ASP.NET, and colour theming support would be nice to
have. Given that MonoDevelop can handle multiple editors, would it be
a good idea to start parallel work on a GtkSourceView 2 editor AddIn
so that we can provide feedback while the API is still unstable? Or
are we completely set on moving to a managed editor?
