I think you want to kill flies with guns, or using other point of view,
duplicating effort (because finally all releases will get packed by
someone responsible in the distro you're using). If you want to help on
deployment, help getting a nice buildservice for your distro and fight
with your distro to use the buildservice targets.

I don't agree with that statement. FOSS is getting easy as time passes.
That statement should become "No pain no bleeding edge" because that
really is unavoidable.
