[MonoDevelop] MD 0.11 on Debian Etch: C# code-completion missing?

Hi,

I am looking into mono and monodevelop, as I got curious reading the "MONO Developer's notebook" of Edd Dumbill and Niel M. Bornstein.
I have the MD 0.11 package installed on my Debian Etch machine.
Somehow, C# code completion is not happening for me.
Even not when I press <CTRL>-<Space>
How can I get code-completion working?
I would appreciate if someone could point me to online documentation (manual, guide) showing off the MD features.
