Buddy,

I would suggest first looking into the existing "intellisense" code.
The wiki page here:

http://monodevelop.com/Architecture_Overview

says that you can find the code completion engine in the subversion
repository, under the directory:

Core/src/MonoDevelop.Projects.Gui

Please feel free to ask questions as they come up.  I'm personally
quite interested in such a project, but don't have time to do more
than advise...
