[MonoDevelop] Monodevelop exits after splash screen

I've seen this issue in the past on the mailing list (though i'm not 
part of the monodevelop team...just a user).  Looks like the problem is 
your Gnome/GTK theme is incomplete.  Try changing the theme to some 
standard, i.e., comes w/ the GNOME platform theme and see if this 
doesn't fix your problem...

if that doesn't work, someone with  a clue will help soon! :)
