[MonoDevelop] Compiling debugger in Suse 9.1

Hello, I'm trying to compile the debugger in Suse 9.1.
When I run ./configure I get the following error:

configure: error: Your kernel/glibc has no NPTL support.  Please read 
README.build

I have installed glibc2.4 and the latest kernel, should I compile the kernel 
with any special option? Where can I find it?
