Currently, Gentoo has monodevelop-0.6 in the tree, but hard masked. It
is relatively trivial to install, once you have Gentoo up and running.
Unfortunately, the learning curve and time investiment for a Gentoo
install can be very steep, depending on the way you choose to do the
install. I guess it's a matter of whether you want to trade a
potentially difficult time installing monodevelop with a potentially difficult
time initially installing your distribution. Some prefer one, some prefer the
other. (:
