[MonoDevelop] SVN access to MD through HTTP proxy

hello,

as i am behind a http proxy i have problems reaching the svn repository
for MD. is it right that the repository is only reachable through svn
protocol? is it maybe possible to also get the http protocol running? i
really would like to get involved into the development process but there
is no way round my proxy at the moment...

any other workarounds i haven't thought of?
