In my original email I did state that I am running Gentoo on an AMD athlon
64 system. I am running the true 64 bit version of Gentoo.

I have built the 1.1.1 version of Mono from CVS, and am using the versions
of gecko-sharp, gtk-sharp etc that are referenced on the monodevelop
building from source tutorial found here:
http://www.monodevelop.com/tutorials/package_install.aspx

I have tried both the 0.5.1 release of Monodevelop and building from SVN.

I totally understand this, and am very keen to see monodevelop running on
my architecture. I am an ardent open source supporter, but use C#, .NET in
my work life, so am very enthusiastic about Mono and Monodevelop for a
linux platform!

Please let me know if I need to supply more specific information than this.
