[Mono-osx] MonoMac HelloWorld Problem

I've had no success following a simple tutorial to create a hello world
project.
I'm using MonoDevelop 2.8.1 and XCode 3.2.6 on Mac 10.6
I run MonoDevelop, create a Mono Mac project, edit the mainwindow.xib file
with Interface Builder, save the file, but it does not create the
mainwindow.xib.designer.cs file.

There must be something simple I'm missing?
