[Mono-osx] How do you get Mono Server to run on OSX? Newb help

I seem to have hit a black hole in user knowledge incl Novel who have stopped
answering emails.

I managed to talk a friend into letting me install Mono onto his Macbook. It
works a lot better so this problem
seems to be related to OSX server.
Hopefully this fact might help some other unfortunate from tearing his hair
out.

It still won't work properly though but I'll post that in the VB section to
avoid cross posting.
