OK some updates that might trigger some knowledge out there somewhere...

The problem does not appear to be anything to do with Windows.
Looks like the Mono Server simply will not run on my OSX.

1/ I am using OSX Server v10.5.8 (Leopard) not OSX workstation
2/ No firewall is installed

Double clicking the Mono Server icon results in a few bounces of the icon in
the dock and then it diissapears. Right clicking it whilst its running does
not show any listening ports.

In OSX, I 'cd' into the 'MonoTools Server.app' which is residing in the
apps folder, then /Contents and then /MacOS. I then run mono
MonoTools.Server.exe -v

This produces this result as shown in Console-
	OXSDev:MacOS ladmin$ mono monotools.server.exe -v
Could not start Ssdp, automatic server detection will be disabled.

I only have another week of the trial time left. Management won't let me buy
the license if I can't get it up and running.

Anyone got any ideas whats going wrong?

cheers
Malcom
