[Mono-osx] Audio problem

I have an app written in VS2008.  It runs fine in WinXP, Vista, and OpenSuse
11.1 witn Mono 2.0.  However, in Mac OS X it seems to run, but has no audio. 
Since the point of the program is o drill on IPA phonetic sounds, not having
audio is a killer.

Any ideas?
