Again, MacPorts is not necessary to compile Mono. I am happily
building Mono SVN on 10.5 ppc. All you need is the pkg-config tool and
some libraries, e.g., from your current official Mono.framework
installation. Robert Jordan has supplied instructions how to do this
years ago, they still apply - search lists.ximian.com for the details
(it mostly involves ACLOCAL_FLAGS and PKG_CONFIG_PATH) and please stop
complaining about MacPorts. There have been a number of reports
already that the ensemble of MacPorts and official Mono brings up all
kinds of issues, it is not really recommendable.

If you choose to use MacPorts this is not the right place to complain.
Otherwise, please provide details of what is not working with
compilation and we may be able to help.

Andreas

P.S. Please stop these annoying reject messages from your mail server
when replying to your messages, maybe that's the reason you didn't get
some of the earlier hints.
