[Mono-osx] Still trouble with 1.1.16

Personally, the only thing that I did was install the Mono release,
recompile my test program (which is very simple and was originally
created using Visual Studio .Net 1.1 under Windows XP Pro), and then
attempt to execute it. This exact same code used to load and execute
under an older version of Mono, although there were problems with the
windows widgets.

I have seen no specific information on how to convince Mono to use
X11 or Quartz, and have set absolutely no configuration information
beyond the execution of the Mono installer (several times, replacing
older versions each time, and occasionally removing the older
directories).
