A good observation that someone made some time ago was that even if you
can get the widgets to look and feel the same, does not mean that the
application itself looks and feels like a native application.

Button ordering, layout of the dialogs, spacing, the way windows are
attached or not to their containers, mdi, tabs and all that make up for
a user experience.

But not every application needs to be completely integrated into the OS.
For instance, vertical applications are almost by definition ugly and
unusable no matter on what platform they are developed.
