[Mono-list] Error when installing libapache2-mod-mono (xamarin repositories)

It's not just you, but things are rapidly improving (especially during the last 1-2 years) so you never know when it will be fixed.  There's also the distinct possibility that the packages built into your OS might work.  In the recent few months, whenever I ask anybody how they run asp.net on mono, they say they built mono from source.

The package maintainers are on the mono-dev list.  I would suggest you re-post there.
