[Mono-list] Connecting Remote SQL Server through C#

I'm out of ideas, I can connect to a standard SQL instance without a
problem.

I'd try reinstalling SQL using default, or better yet, install it in a
standard way somewhere else then try your app against both.

To be clear, as far as I know, there are no issues with SQL DB connections
in mono.
