[Mono-list] https with webHttpBinding?

I do not quite understand what I am doing. 
The ServiceHost needs to know the private key of the certificate, in order
to authenticate to the client, right?
How does it know? Is the private key stored together with the certificate
e.g. in the "My" store?
Or do I have to tell it somehow?
