1) Make sure you burned the image properly. (if you just burned the .iso
file, a big penguin will come to bite your head off)

2) Make sure your machine's set to boot from an optical drive (you can find
that somewhere in a BIOS setup, commonly labeled as a "boot sequence")

3) If you have no idea what "CD image" or "BIOS" is, ask some technically
skilled friend to help you.
