[Mono-list] Mono-2.2 configure problem

Hi 

I get exactly the same problem for mono-2.2 under Fedora Core 5. 
 

The problem does not occur with mono-2.0.1 under Fedora Core 5. 
  

Searching the Mono-dev list I found what seemed to be a similar problem with
the configure script (see
http://www.mail-archive.com/mono-devel-list@lists.ximian.com/msg18863.html)
and this pointed to a solution that involved a small change in configure.in. 
However, this solution did not seem to work in the case of the same error on
line 40437.  so, still searching for the root cause / a solution. 


Can anyone help?
