yes  I know... I am doing my searches in the way you've suggested for  years..
but.. I thought that, perhaps, there is a simpler and smarter way.
Right now, I am using another method for some other mailing list. I've
opened few separate gmail accounts. Every account is for the different
mailing list and then I use google search. It works nicely.
